The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) says that the tax concessions given by the government for the telecommunication services will be effective from 1st December.
Accordingly, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRC) requests consumers to immediately notify any service provider if they continue to levy additional taxes without making the concession.
It was also recalled that there were some practical difficulties in granting tax relief immediately. Accordingly, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has advised service companies to increase their services in relation to reduced taxes without changing the price of several prepaid packages.
Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) further said that the company has been instructed to reduce the excess amount from the January bill if the relevant bill is not deducted from the December bill.
