Term of PCoI on SriLankan extended
The term of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to probe irregularities at SriLankan Airlines, Sri Lankan Catering and Mihin Lanka, has been extended till the 30th of June.
The term of the Commission, established on the 31st of January 2018, was slated to end on the 30th of May.
The Presidential Secretariat through an Extraordinary Gazette has accordingly extended the term of the Commission by 30 days.
The five-member Presidential Commission investigates financial malpractices that had allegedly taken place at SriLankan, SriLankan Catering (Pvt.) Limited and Mihin Lanka between 1st of January 2006 and 31st of January 2018.
The five member commission is headed by retired Supreme Court Justice Anil Gunaratne.
