The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Irrigation and Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development states that the flour association has agreed to provide wheat flour at previous prices.
The ministry further stated that this decision was taken at the cost of living committee meeting held today (10).
On September 6, the management of Prima Company informed its dealers that a kilogram of wheat flour would be increased by Rs 5.50.
However, the Ministry stated that all the flour company members were present at the cost of living committee today and they have been given 3 weeks to explain the price hike.
Accordingly, the relevant companies have agreed to sell wheat flour at previous prices with immediate effect.
