Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B. Pujitha states that the results of the GCE A/L examination will be re -corrected till January 17 2020. He said that the results will be sent to all schools.
He says that since some candidates need exam certificates soon, they can get certificates from the Department of Examinations from Monday.
He also said that steps have been taken to apply for certification within 48 hours from today.
He said that if a student wants to send it abroad, they can use the INS system.
Under the new syllabus 113,637 students and 67,489 students have been eligible to enter universities under the old syllabus.
The Commissioner General of Examinations stated that this year’s examination was conducted under two syllabuses. He said that according to the directives of the University Grants Commission, the Z-Score was calculated separately under the two syllabuses. He stated that the UGC appointed an expert committee before the examination commenced and that the Z-score was calculated separately according to the recommendations.
