The GCE Ordinary Level Examination commences today.
Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B. Pujitha said that the exam will be concluded on the 12th and the highest number of students will be participating in this year’s examination.
The Commissioner General of Examinations informs the students to arrive at the examination hall half an hour before the exam.
He instructed the students to bring the admission as well as a valid identity card.
The Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B. Pujitha said that it is not advisable to bring electronic instruments and brief notes to the examination hall.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B. Pujitha stated that the Provincial Directors of Education and Zonal Education Directors have been informed of any obstacles that a candidate has to face.
Disaster Management Center Assistant Director Pradeep Kodippili said that a special program has been launched for students sitting the examination in the affected areas.
Meanwhile, the evaluation process of the GCE Ordinary Level examination is scheduled to be carried out in two phases.
Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B. Pujitha said that the first stage will be held from December 24 to January 2 and the second stage from January 17 to 26.
The evaluation of answer scripts for the first phase will be held at 108 assessment centers in 84 schools in 56 cities.
Of these 84 schools, 37 will be opened on January 2 while the remaining 47 will be opened for the new school term on January 3.
