Major Nissanka Senadhipathi, the Chairman of Avant Garde Company, has been arrested by the CID officials at Katunayake Airport this morning.
He arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at around 11.30 last night.
Police spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that Nissanka Senadhipathi, who was arrested by the CID officers at the Katunayake airport, is now being taken to the CID headquarters in Colombo.
The second suspect in the case for allegedly giving a bribe of Rs. 355 million for operating a floating armory at Avant Garde Company has been granted a travel ban by the Galle Magistrate’s Court.
