Two complaints on postal voting process

Police say that two complaints have been received regarding the postal voting process.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the incidents were reported from Kebithigollewa and Gampola police areas.

Postal voting for the presidential election took place yesterday and yesterday and on Thursday (Oct 31st).

6,59,514 voters have been eligible to cast their postal votes.

The Commissioner General of the National Election Commission Saman Sri Ratnayake said that police, election offices and district secretariats will have the chance to cast postal votes on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that 38 persons have been arrested for violating election laws.
