National Transport Commission, Sri Lanka Transport Board and Sri Lanka Railways have made arrangements to provide transportation for people to return to their villages to cast their votes at tomorrow’s LG polls.
The Chairman of the National Transport Commission, H. Hemachandra said that 200 additional private buses have been added to provide long-distance services.
Those services are being provided from the Bastian Mawatha Private Bus Terminal.
In addition, another 102 extra buses have been added to the fleet by the SLTB.
Meanwhile, Additional General Manager of SLR, Vijaya Samarasinghe said that more trains will be added if necessary.
