The Presidential Secretariat announced that the curfew will be imposed in 19 districts where the curfew has been relaxed.
The curfew which was lifted at 6.00 AM this morning was resumed at 2.00 pm.
The curfew will remain in effect for Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna districts until further notice.
Traffic within the districts is strictly prohibited for any purpose other than essential services.
The Presidential Secretariat said the law would be strictly enforced against people who misuse the means to maintain essential services efficiently.
The Emergency Services will continue to be available to buy essential food items at home during the term of curfew.
People who are engaged in farming, tea small holdings and export crop production will have the opportunity to do so.
The Presidential Secretariat has urged the public to take responsibility for the measures and instructions taken by the government to control the spread of the Corona.
The Kalutara, Atalugama and Kandy Akurana areas remain to be isolated.
