The Leader of the JVP, Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake says the fight against racism can only be won through a political battle.
Speaking at a rally in Nugegoda MP Dissanayake accused several political groups of backing racist elements in country.
MP Dissanayake stressed racism is not purely a result of an aggrieved Muslim teenager or initiated by a provoked Buddhist monk adding they are pre-planned.
JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake also accused the Northern Provincial Council and its councillors of disregarding their duties while promoting racism to fulfill political agendas.
He noted the people of the North do not have adequate houses and schools for their children adding such people will not back another war to escalate in the North.
