Leader of the JVP Anura Kumara Dissanayake speaking during an event in Matara said Maithripala Sirisena is acting without a firm grasp of the country’s constitution to a certain extent.
He noted if the President is not willing to accept two court rulings and five decisions of Parliament, the JVP will may take to the streets and will rally the general public against Maithripala Sirisena.

The Parliamentarian claimed the Court of Appeal reaffirmed the party’s stance that Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Cabinet will not be recognized.
He said Mahinda Rajapaksa was interdicted by court and he was demoted from the Prime Minister to a Member of Parliament.
