TNA urges Govt to implement UNHRC resolutions
The Tamil National Alliance has once again requested the government to implement the proposal on reconciliation between nations that was approved by the United Nations Human Rights Council for Sri Lanka.
Speaking to media in Trincomalee, Leader of the TNA and Opposition leader R Sampanthan said the TNA hopes to make a request from the United Nations to inform the Sri Lankan government over the implementation of the proposals.
Opposition leader R Sampanthan said the government failed to implement the proposals although the UN passed several resolutions on Sri Lanka within the past few years.
R Sampanthan said although certain factions are against the ongoing process, the entire process cannot be abandoned.
