Leaders should address public concerns- JVP
The JVP says leaders should set aside their personal issues and address the concerns of the people.
JVP Uva Provincial Councillor Samantha Vidyarathna speaking to media in Matara said it appears that leaders have forgotten the issues faced by the people.
Vidyarathna charged that certain political leaders in the country are more focused on the post of the Leader of the Opposition over the issues faced by the people.
He claimed that the Joint Opposition is engaged in efforts to secure the post of Opposition Leader while adding the faction of President Maithripala Sirisena seeks to maintain a balance among parties that support him.
The JVP Provincial Councillor therefore called on the country’s leaders to set aside these petty personal agendas and work towards fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
