People say that unidentified flying objects were seen in the sky over many parts of the island.
It has been reported that a number of unidentified flying objects were traveling in a series of locations around Colombo, Gampaha, Avissawella and Udawalawa around 5.30 am yesterday.
Eyewitnesses claimed that they were all at the same speed and that a lot of them were in alignment.
However, when inquired by the Arthur C. Clark Center, the people who saw the show said that it was a StarLink satellite system.
SpaceX’s StarLink satellite system, on the 24th of May, was flying over the Netherlands.
The scene was sent to two people who claimed to have seen unidentified flying objects yesterday morning and confirmed that they were similar to the lighting they had seen.
SpaceX has designed the StarLink satellite system to provide high-speed Internet access and cover the world’s most vulnerable areas.
Accordingly, the Falcon Nine Rocket 60 orbit satellites were the first to orbit these satellites close to Earth.
Nearly 400 satellites are scheduled to orbit under the StarLink satellite system.
The new technology enables faster access to fiber-optic services than are currently available in the world.
In addition to SpaceX, the British One Web Company is also planning to provide space internet and they have already planned six satellites.
