Lahiru Thirimanne has been named as captain of the One Day International squad for the tour of Pakistan while Dasun Shanaka has been named captain of the T20 squad.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has sent a second-class squad to Pakistan after 10 senior players refused to travel to Pakistan.
Kusal Mendis was not included in the tour due to an injury and had to rest for 6 weeks.
Minodh Bhanuka, who has yet to play in ODIs or T20 Internationals, has been called to both ODI and T20 squads and Bhanuka Rajapakse has been named to the T20 squad.
Lahiru Thirimanne captained the Sri Lanka team in three matches in 2015, having won one and lost two.
Dasun Shanaka has not captained the Sri Lankan national team before and will be the 10th captain of the Sri Lanka T20 team.
