The Sri Lankan team, comprising eight athletes, will leave the island today (14) to participate in the Asian Table Tennis Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
The tournament organized by the Asian Table Tennis Association will be held from tomorrow (15) to 22nd.
The Sri Lankan men’s team includes Chameera Ginige (University of Sri Jayawardenepura), Supuna Varusavithana (University of Moratuwa) and Senura Silva (Ananda College, Colombo) and Rohan Sirisena (captain) of the Stag Table Tennis Academy.
Ports Authority’s Ishara Madurangi leads the Sri Lankan women’s team while Erandi Varusavithana (Army), Bimandi Bandara (Hillwood College, Kandy) and Jithara Warnakulasuriya (Colombo Ladies College) are the other members of the team.
As the team manager and coach, Chandana Perera also participates in the tournament.
