President agrees to consult legal experts to remove PM

MP Kumara Welgama says President Maithripala Sirisena has told them that he will consult Attorney General and legal experts on moves to remove Prime Minister under 19th Amendment to Constitution.

The parliamentarian revealed this speaking to media after having discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena.

He also said that although the Joint Opposition would support the formation of a Sri Lanka Freedom Party led UPFA government, they would not accept Ministerial positions.

Welgama said their stance was conveyed to the President.
